Amigo (film)

Amigo is a 2010 AmericanFilipino drama film written and directed by John Sayles. The film takes place in the Philippines in 1900 during the PhilippineAmerican War. It is one of only a small handful of films directed by an American to address the war. The only other notable example is The Real Glory 1939, starring Gary Cooper.

The film was met with generally positive reviews. The film received a score of 62 with a certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 45 reviews.James Rocchi of MSN Movies said the film feels more passionate and provocative than 99 of everything else out there. ........
